Inspired by quilting, nostalgia, and piecework, fashion students from the University of North Texas in partnership with Kinfolk House explored this concept working collaboratively to design and realize three elevated streetwear ensembles. The selection of casual, familiar silhouettes preempts a broader connectivity and sense of comfort. Garments were constructed from a combination of textile scraps and second-hand fabrics evocative of an ethos of reclamation and the traditional process of the scrap-quilting craft.
