Guardian

This six-piece menswear collection was inspired by the plight of LGBT youth in the US. The collection utilizes color symbolism, and an interpretation of religious allegory to present a critique on religion, homosexuality, and adolescent welfare. Reflecting on LGBT youth and the history of homelessness and abandonment often as a result of said religious dogma, Guardian reinterprets the notion of the guardian/arch angels from Judeo-Christian lore. Each ensemble highlights a singular color from the rainbow, a symbol of significance in both the LGBT and Christian communities.

Collection was featured at the Dallas Pin Show, 2016.
